The Museum's bus excursions are always popular events and are
well attended. Excursions generally take place twice yearly, one
in the Spring and another in the Fall.
In September of 2007, author Glenn Lockwood led an excursion
celebrating the 175th anniversary of the Rideau Canal opening.
Guided by Glenn's expert narration, participants enjoyed a full
days tour of local historical venues associated with the Rideau
Canal. Some of the sites the tour visited were: Prescott, Merrickville,
Easton’s Depot, Kilmarnock, Smith’s Falls and the
great dam at Jones Falls.
