All about the new book - The Story of Brockville

Each year an operating budget is prepared for acceptance by City council. Staying within budget is possible thanks to the generous donations from the community, heritage partners, The Friends of the Brockville Museum and museum members.

The Brockville Museum applies each year to the Canadian Museum Operating Grant program. This grant assists the museum in serving the community; it helps the museum achieve greater collection preservation and history promotion as well as offer additional and improved programming for all ages and interests.

Museum staff and volunteers are grateful the municipality and the province recognize that museums require a base support for operating funds.

The museum also benefits from community grants such as those offered by the Brockville Community Foundation and the 1000 Islands Development Corporation, as well as The Canadian Museum Association and Human Resources Development Canada.
