Explore the museum like never before through a series of uniquely themed after-hours events…live music will be playing, there will be special entertainment and hands-on activities, a unique snack selection for each event, and a cash bar hosted by the Young Professionals Network.
Friday, April 28, 8 pm - 10 pm: “History and Hearsay Café”, an evening of deciphering what is fact and what is fiction by figuring out what the truth is while exploring our new exhibits. This all takes place in a cafe-style setting with live jazz-inspried music by local musician James Mackenzie.
Friday, May 26, 8 pm - 10 pm: Ottawa band “Werth It” will provide the music for a night of dancing for 60s Night. Were you a mod or a rocker? A hippie or a square? There will be a costume contest for those who come in period dress and a dance contest. This evening is a great complement to the new “How Brockville Celebrated the centennial” exhibit.
Friday, June 23, 8 pm - 10 pm: “Battle of the Brushes”, a chance for you to get up-close and personal with local artists as they create amazing works of art. In three rounds of 30 minutes each artists will complete a canvas, you will get to vote one which pieces you like the most with works being auctioned off at the end of the evening.
Come to all three events for a great advance price of only $28 per person (to be purchased prior to noon April 26). Advance purchase tickets for individual events are $12 (to be purchased prior to noon on the Wednesday prior to the event) or $15 at the door.
