Museum@Night: 60s Night

Friday May 26, 2017

    8:00 PM

    10:00 PM

Explore the museum like never before through a series of uniquely themed after-hours events…live music will be playing, there will be special entertainment and hands-on activities, a unique snack selection for each event, and a cash bar hosted by the Young Professionals Network.

Friday, April 28, 8 pm - 10 pm: “History and Hearsay CafĂ©”, an evening of deciphering what is fact and what is fiction by figuring out what the truth is while exploring our new exhibits.  This all takes place in a cafe-style setting with live jazz-inspired music by local musician James Mackenzie.

Friday, May 26, 8 pm - 10 pm: Ottawa band “Werth It” will provide the music for a night of dancing for 60s Night.  Were you a mod or a rocker? A hippie or a square? There will be a costume contest for those who come in period dress and a dance contest.  This evening is a great complement to the new “How Brockville Celebrated the centennial” exhibit.

Friday, June 23, 8 pm - 10 pm: “Battle of the Brushes”, a chance for you to get up-close and personal with local artists as they create amazing works of art.  In three rounds of 30 minutes each artists will complete a canvas, you will get to vote one which pieces you like the most with works being auctioned off at the end of the evening.

Come to all three events for a great advance price of only $28 per person (to be purchased prior to noon April 26).  Advance purchase tickets for individual events are $12 (to be purchased prior to noon on the Wednesday prior to the event) or $15 at the door. Tickets are available online through Snapd Tix or at the museum.
