Heritage Skills Workshop

Wednesday October 25, 2017

    1:00 PM

    3:00 PM

Join us for our second Heritage Skills Workshop as we reveal some of the mysteries contained within Wartime Recipes. How did people create tasty dishes while food was rationed? How was this not only possible, but some of these recipes have endured.

This is a hands-on experience presented by Amy Mackie during which you will:

  • Look into what Brockville was like during the First and Second World Wars
  • Create dishes (and eat them, too) from wartime cookbooks
  • See some amazing artifacts from the museum collection that are not on display

This is the second in a series of three workshops running the last Wednesday of month until November. The cost includes all supplies; only $15 per session or $36 for the series of 3. Advance registration is required so we can gather supplies. Sign up at the museum in person (Monday-Friday, 10:00 - 5:00) or by pay with a credit card over the phone at 613-342-4397.
