"Keep it Under your Stetson" - a Brockville Museum' fundraising event based on a real event 70 years previous!
On June 18, 2016, with the participation of The Wedgewood Retirement Resort and singer/entertainer A. J. Benoit, you will be treated to a unique meal and the great music of the time.
The evening begins at 7 p.m. in The Wedgewood’s lounge and patio area (please note that it is a cash bar). The Museum's Amy Mackie is your host with entertainment provided by Brockville's A. J. Benoit and Trisha Reilly accompanied by pianist Mary Ross-Comstock. Dinner begins at 7:45 p.m. in the Wedgewood dining room.
The evening's menu follows the actual menu from the original dinner with four courses being offered - including Chicken "á la Normandy", "North Atlantic" soup, "Scheldt" green beans, and the “Bombs Away”.
This event was inspired by a “dinner of tribute” held in the Wedgewood Room of the Hotel Manitonna on June 18, 1946 by the John B. Stetson Hat Company to honour its employees that had fought in World War II.
Tickets are only $85 per person (a tax receipt of approximately $25 per ticket will be issued to ticket purchasers). Seating is limited – tickets must be purchased in advance by calling or visiting the Brockville Museum at 5 Henry St. Tickets are transferrable but not refundable.
