"Talk & Tea"

Thursday July 13, 2017

    2:00 PM

    3:00 PM

Join our own Amy Mackie for “Talk and Tea”.  Drawing upon a multitude of historical themes, join her for a relaxing and interactive talk!   You will have the opportunity to share your own stories and ask questions, all within an informal "threatre-in-the-round" setting. "Talk and Tea" will run on the second Thursday of each month from 2-3 p.m.  Only $2 per person (free for museum members).

This month's topic:Special guest speaker John Butte will present “Darlene’s Silver Streak and The Bradford Model T Girls”, the true account of the “Gypsy Coeds” six single Illinois girls in a 1926 Ford Model T looking for adventure on the roads of Canada and the United States in the late 1930s and early 1940s.

This amazing car logged over 71,500 miles and seemingly finding adventure at every turn. Now, 78 years later, you will have the opportunity to see the Silver Streak as John is bringing it to Brockville as he retraces portions of those two trips.
