Talk & Tea (Virtual Edition): Second Thursday of each month:
Explore Brockville's fascinating social and industrial history with the museum’s Interpretation & Public Program Coordinator on the second Thursday of the month at 2pm, featuring a different topic each month. Now being offered virtually. Talks last about 45 minutes. Participants are encouraged to share their own stories and ask questions. So steep some tea and join us online. No charge but donations to support museum programming are appreciated. Registration is required (hitting the "register now" will take you to the Brockville Arts Centre website where you can "buy tickets" to attend Talk & Tea). (Please note that registration closes on hour prior to start time).

Haunting Histories - Returning for select evening in October!
All July, August, and September dates are now sold out, but we're bringing this popular walk back this fall to conincide with Halloween!
Ghosts, graveyards, and gruesome tales. The Brockville Museum invites you to explore a darker side of Brockville’s history with our Haunting Histories guided walk. From ghosts in the attic to abandoned graves to the last hanging in Brockville, Haunting Histories is a re-imagining of the Ghost Walks previously offered by Brockville Tourism, now with new stories that not only include ghosts but also a little dark local history alongside tales of the supernatural, the mysterious, and the almost forgotten. New stories added for 2021.
The guided walk covers a distance of 3km through the oldest parts of Brockville, starting and ending at the Brockville Museum, and lasting about 90 minutes.
Private tour are also available! Contact the museum for details and to explore options.
Tickets are $10 per person and must be purchased in advance through the Brockville Arts Centre. All tours start and end at the Brockville Museum and go rain or shine. The following dates are currently available for booking:
If you party consists of more than 4 people, please consider booking a private tour. Private walks are available for groups of any size of to 10. For safety reasons, tours will not take place after dark.
COVID protocols: face coverings are required, physical distancing will be enforced, and groups are capped at 10 attendees.
Heritage Skills DIY Kits
Initially released in Spring 2021, a limited number of individual kits are availble by contacting the museum.
The Heritage Skills DIY Kits are a pandemic-friendly version of our annual Heritage Skills Workshop Series. The three kits, primarily designed for adults, explore different decades in Brockville’s history and may be pre-ordered now for curbside pickup.
- Kit #1 Brockville & the Edwardian Era (c1900s) released April 9
- Kit #2 Brockville & Interwar Years (c 1920s) released May 7
- Kit #3 Postwar Brockville (c1950s) released June 4
All kits contain:
- an illustrated History Booklet to help guide you though the activities
- a reproduced page of a local newspaper from the time
- a menu of the period that includes a recipe for you to make (all but basic ingredients are included)
- and 2 to 3 different skills and activities to try (most supplies are included)
